Frequently asked questions

Can I compare animations with different frame rates?

Yes. Both animations use the same real-time playhead, even when their FPS or durations differ.

Are my JSON files uploaded to your servers?

No. Pasted and uploaded JSON is processed in your browser. Loading a remote URL sends a request directly to its host.

Why can’t my Lottie URL be loaded?

The source may block cross-origin requests or be unavailable. Try downloading the JSON and uploading it locally.

More questions
Does Lottie Diff automatically detect differences?

No. Lottie Diff lets you visually inspect two animations on a synchronized timeline.

Can I share locally uploaded animations?

Not yet. A shareable comparison requires remotely accessible Lottie JSON URLs.

What happens if the animations have different durations?

Both animations start together. The shorter animation stays on its last frame while the longer animation continues.

Which files are supported?

Standard Lottie JSON up to 20 MB. .lottie archives and script expressions are not supported. Some external assets and AE effects may be unavailable.
